Road signs in the UK are generally made from a composite sandwiched between thin aluminium with a reflective coat of viaplast on top which makes the sign visible at night by reflecting light back to it’s source, such as a car’s headlights. The majority of the signs below have the 2 mounting channels / runners on the back which would have been used to help fix them to a post or have holes in the them where they were originally attached to metal frame or to a wall.
