This is a genuine, de-commissioned “10” mph Road Sign hand-painted in Lotus JPS colours and then aged to show some of the original colours and reflective parts of the original road sign underneath.

It measures approx. 15.75 X 15.75 inches / 40 X 40cm.

The John Player Special cigarette brands colours were black and gold and were used on Lotus F1 cars such as the Lotus 72D in which Emerson Fittipaldi won the 1972 Formula One Driver’s Championship at the age of 25 and the Lotus 79 in which Mario Andretti won the Driver’s Championship in 1978.

Ayrton Senna also drove the JPS liveried Lotus 97T in the 1985 Championship, taking 7 poles and 2 wins and the Lotus 98T in 1986, with 2 wins.
